Chicagoans Take Note

Pete Guither of the absurdly great Drug War Rant has a critically acclaimed live show that opens tomorrow (and runs through August 28) at the Victrory Gardens Theater in Chicago. The show, The Living Canvas, is part photography exhibit, part performance art. The weekly Chicago Reader had this to say of last year's show:

Stoners, Dali fans, sensualists of every stripe, this show's for you. Sober or otherwise, you'll find the visual pleasures of Guither's idiom considerable, the kinetic sculpture consistently engrossing as choreographer Mark Hackman makes the most of the cast's varying backgrounds in movement and dance.

It's also been lauded by the Sun-Times and the Tribune -- which never agree on anything. And Pete's a great guy. So go.
