Pretty White Girl Finally Gets a Break in Life
A major news outlet (not to be confused with unaccountable bloggers) has finally printed a story on the (somewhat) taboo subject of media racism. In an excellent story, the New York Times reports on the new Austrailian fad of coming to the rescue of pretty white girls who get draconian prison sentences for non-violent drug offenses. The plight of Pretty White Girl Schapelle Corby, who was recently sentenced to twenty-years in an Indonesian prison for a crime she may not have committed, has made international news. Important people (i.e. celebrities like Nicole Kidman) around the world are up in arms over her sentence. Are you excited that the drug war may be on its last legs because it’s finally impacting pretty white girls? Well, not so fast. Bowing to international pressure, the Indonesian government has agreed to review her case and the allegations that she may be innocent. Cursed by beauty, white skin and (I can only assume) big breasts all her life, this Pretty White Girl may finally get a break.
In related news, I can’t sleep until all those involved in the disappearance of Pretty White Girl Natalee Holloway are brought to justice. I mean how many Pretty White Girls have to disappear in Aruba for the world to take notice? (apparently only one).
