Teasing Kills

This story made me cringe. Twelve years in a detention center for a child who was pushed over the edge toward beating another child to death. For those who have ever been bullied, this one's for you.

What was most jarring for me about this story was the example of just how quickly violence can escalate and shatter innocence. A couple of things that most adults have going for them are experience and the ability to weigh consequences. If we only all knew as children that today is not forever.
