Onion Lowers Shark, Prepares to Jump Over

The Onion's Katrina feature-story headline "God Outdoes Terrorists Yet Again" isn't exactly making me forget the immortal "Holy Fucking Shit" post-9/11 headline, but with articles like "Another Saints Season Ruined Before it Starts", it's naturally still worth a look.

I can't say the same for the new Onion design, though. It's ugly. It's too white and boxy, yet somehow all that order has brought to it a jumbled feel. It's not fun at all. And what the fuck else do I need The Onion for than a bit of fun?

C'mon guys. You've had a couple of weeks to work out the kinks since your site re-design and as far as I can tell you've done... nothing at all.

What's more, if you asked me a year ago I never would have pegged The Onion for a "worst. blog. ever." award but my god what are they thinking over there? Really. Stop it. Now. You're killing me.
