Sports Guy v. Klosterman

I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy Bill Simmons and Chuck Klosterman's two-part tete-a-tete at ESPN.com -- that is if you appreciate rambling conversations about things like the length of Merton Hanks's neck (which Klosterman compares to that of an emu), the hipness of a 1979 Rick Upchurch football card, or whether Len Bias died after snorting or smoking cocaine.

They've done this before (evil ESPN Insider subscription now required) to great effect. Part I of their recent exchange is here. Part II is here.

Also, both Klosterman and Simmons have newish books out -- I just picked up Simmons's and will grab Klosterman's shortly. (If you haven't yet, make sure to check out Klosterman's Sex, Drugs & Cocoa Puffs.)

Also of note: Simmons will be signing copies of his book in DC on Tuesday night (at the evil ESPNZone) and in Chicago on Wednesday. As these photos of the mobs at his NYC signing make clear, Sports Guy has a posse.

Special bonus factoid: Microsoft Word's suggested correction for "Klosterman" is "lobsterman".
