Stop Everything You're Doing
This is very disturbing though:
If there are no suspects - and no evidence that a crime occurred - why are the police getting warrants to search people's homes and what exactly are they looking for?On Thursday, police upgraded the case from a search for a missing person to a full-fledged criminal investigation -- not because there was evidence that a crime had occurred, but because it allowed them to employ various resources, including search warrants and the Amber Alert, which they issued late that night.
Investigators executed several search warrants Friday, including one at the Vienna house where [the Pretty White Girl] grew up and at the Richmond home of a 38-year-old photographer who took pictures of [the Pretty White Girl] last spring and posted them on his Web site. The photos have been removed.
Police have identified no suspects in the case.
UPDATE: It's been a while since I've read the 4th Amendment. I just looked it up. I forgot that there's a exception to the Bill of Rights in cases involving pretty white women.
