Bad Europe: Sweden's Proposed "Man Tax"

A Swedish "feminist" political party -- led by a "former Swedish Communist party leader and author of erotic verse" -- has proposed a "man tax". What's that, you ask?

The idea is that most crimes are committed by men, ergo, men should pay more towards police funding.
This may be a new low in that it would combine the worst of the poll tax (which as you know effectively prevented many black Americans from voting in the South after Reconstruction) and a sin tax (which as you also know targets voluntary behaviors like smoking).

In other news, I can think of about 100 "woman-tax" jokes I could insert here. And each would probably get me slapped. Several times. So you will not see joking mention of a "monthly" tax on women anywhere in this post. None whatsoever.

More here from the Times of London.
