Nofunistan, Tx.

The booze-hating jihadists at MADD are "working closely" with members of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission -- formerly noted for its large underage busts -- to punish people of legal age... who drink alcohol... in bars. One focus of their efforts is Abilene, which the city's website says "was legally dry until 1978, when a fiercely contested election to legalize the sale of alcoholic beverages barely succeeded."

So does Abilene really deserve the Nofunistan tag? Considering the no-drinking-in-bars stance, and the smoking ban that recently went into effect, and the city's illegal crackdown on legal porn, I'd say so. (Next up: dancing and rock & roll!)
