Woodstein Re-Born? Post Fingers Dick
The Washington Post's Barton Gellman today comes somewhere between perilously close to and to the point of accusing Dick Cheney of orchestrating Scooter Libby's Plame takedown. Right there on Page 1 is this:
On a related note, I think we're about to find out how might Watergate have played out if the blogosphere was around in the early 1970s.

Defending the war became the animating priority aboard Air Force Two [on July 12, 2003]. According to his indictment on Friday, Libby "discussed with other officials aboard the plane" how he should respond to "pending media inquiries" about the critic, former ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV. Apart from Libby, only press aide Catherine Martin is known to have accompanied Cheney on that flight. [Emphasis mine.]Cheney's future could hinge more than anything else on what Martin says during the course of Patrick Fitzgerald's ongoing investigation about what was said on that flight. As far as I'm concerned, all's well that ends unwell for Dick.
On a related note, I think we're about to find out how might Watergate have played out if the blogosphere was around in the early 1970s.
