More DC Craziness

Not content with driving life-saving drugs out of the city, the DC City Council now wants to drive jobs out. It's close to passing a "living wage" law that will be, as Billie Holiday sung, "nice work, if you can get it". Supporters say the new law could affect about 10,000 people (out of a population of 600,000). The bill requires that government agencies and private employers who benefit from government tax breaks, incentives or other assistance to pay their workers at least $11.75 an hour.
