Let the Whisper Campaign Commence: van Bakel is Cheating!
Rogier van Bakel at Nobody's Business is clearly on the juice. How else to explain his dozens of great posts (including this one on honour killings) this week when he's averaged only a post or two a day for the past year or so?
This sort of output is positively Brady Andersonesque. (Recall that Anderson hit 50 home runs in 1996; otherwise during his dozen-year career Brady never went yard even 25 times.)
I'm writing this in hopes that Tom Davis or Arlen Specter is reading. If the blogosphere can't police itself -- and we all know it cannot -- we too need Congress to step in.
(I'm riffing on the fantastic new ESPN promo in which a SportsCenter anchor with a suddenly rococo vocabulary is busted by the FBI for using a "performance enhancer": a thesaurus.)
