The Neverending Story: Me, Atari and CBS

For anyone who still gives half a crap (and such a short list would not include me)... I'm now told that the CBS Evening News will air the Atari Flashback 2 segment in which I'm due to appear on Saturday (or maybe Sunday). If not Sunday, then it won't air at all, since it's Christmas-themed. Though I suppose they could repackage it and try to give it away for nothing on Boxing Day. It could, I guess, be that this glancing blow is all the Atari CBS will promote -- and at the wrong price.

Still, I'd be remiss -- this being the holidays and all -- if I didn't point out that the folks at CBS Evening News have been nothing but nice. And I love Bob Schieffer, who sits in the anchor chair -- for now -- five nights a week. So it's not like I'll hate CBS if the segment doesn't air. I'll save that for when they hire that untalented, airheaded, bleached-dirty-blonde, bathetic, phony Katie Couric -- an unlikeable Rachael Ray without the foodie's gravitas -- to replace Schieffer.
