The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

A new study reports that the U.S military is reaching its breaking point. Here's hoping for a quick exit from Iraq, less military recruits in the future, and the end of the welfare-warfare state. A man can dream can't he?

The Senate Judiciary Committee has approved Alito's confirmation. His appointment to the life-time position of lapdog-to-absolute-power is all but certain.

Meanwhile, Bush continues to tell voters that he's above the law - and, at least some, voters applaud.
