HHWJRS? (How High Would Jesus Raise Taxes?)

For the "progressives are no different than conservatives" file. Evangelical Christians are asking, what would Jesus do about poverty, health care, and affordable housing? Apparently he would violate the commandment against stealing and take your money to fund programs he likes. And if you didn't pay he would arrest you and throw you in jail. That doesn't sound like the peaceful Jesus I learned about in Sunday School. But, at least people are admitting that the welfare state, like the war on drugs and laws against abortion and prostitution, is really about forcing one's morality on other people. And, oh yeah, if Jesus was alive today he apparently would drive a scooter. I think it's more likely, however, that he woud drive around in a limousine, possibly with Bono.
