I Have a Hangover Because of Gay Marriage

Not the 12 martinis I drank last night (on the advice of my doctor!). While I was having too much fun to watch Bush's State of the Asshole address (drowning myself in liquor instead of trying to drown out his speech with pots and pans), I'm trying to catch up on what he said today. I'm especially appalled with this statement:

"Yet many Americans, especially parents, still have deep concerns about the direction of our culture, and the health of our most basic institutions. They are concerned about unethical conduct by public officials, and discouraged by activist courts that try to redefine marriage."

If Republicans feel free to essentially associate their own corruption with the advance of gay marriage, why can't we just blame everything on gay marriage? Radley Balko does so here.
