The NYT Has no Funny Pages

The New York Times is reporting that newspapers throughout Europe today re-printed a dozen cartoons at the center of a Muslim backlash against Denmark. The cartoons in question were orignally printed in a Danish daily and depict Muhammad -- itself taboo -- in a sometimes-unfavorable light.
In support of the Danish position, newspapers in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland reprinted some of the cartoons today. A small Norwegian evangelical magazine, Magazinet, also published the cartoons last month.
No word from The Times if they'll be doing anything more than reporting on efforts to back press freedom. (Like maybe re-printing the cartoons, too.)
