I Will Take My Liberty Where I Can Get It

Sure New Hampshire and Indiana will probably ban in-door smoking soon (if they haven't already), but at least there's some good news to report. New Hampshire legislators passed a constitutional amendment yesterday that would limit government's ability to seize private property by prohibiting the use of eminent domain to take property for private developers. New Hampshire voters will likely vote on the issue in November. (second story down). Indiana legislators passed a law making it legal for people to use deadly force to prevent serious bodily injury to themselves or others without first trying to retreat. (second story down). In other words, if someone tries to cut off your head with a chainsaw, you don't have to be backed in a corner to shoot him. You can blow him away the first chance you get. Shoot for the groin. (Head shots are hard to make, and he might be wearing a bullet proof vest that covers his chest.)
