WWJAD?

Not a day goes by in DC that I don't ask myself, WWJAD. What Would Jack Abramoff Do? He's my hero. He took money from the gambling industry to stop a federal anti-gambling bill, laundered the money through some anti-tax groups, and then gave it to Christian conservatives to lobby Congress to defeat the bill because it wasn't tough enough. Conservative Republicans in Congress killed the anti-gambling bill. Freedom won. And the only people who were screwed were Christian conservative pricks, so Abramoff's scam was a victimless crime. He is expected to be sentenced today for the real crime he committed, faking financial records to con a bank into giving him a large loan. (Prosecutors are also on his heels because of his business partner's links to the Gabino crime family and at least one murder.) As Republican turds move closer to passing legislation making it easier to arrest Americans who gamble on-line in the privacy of their own homes, Abramoff may still get the last laugh.

Thanks for duping the bible-thumpers, Jack.
