Last year Baylen informed TtP readers about a federal bill that would require local and state governments to consider developing disaster evacuation plans that accommodate people's pets. The end result could be less room in evacuation vehicles, more trips, and greater loss of human life. So, naturally the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee approved the bill today. Not wanting to be out done Senators introduced their own "Not Without My Goldfish" bill today.
