CU in Hell

Reader Marco Zappacosta points to a Boing Boing post on an evil University of Colorado web-based effort to encourage snitches to come forward and identify students taking place in a 4/20 smoke-in. As a Boing Boing tipster notes:
"Every year on 4/20, students and residents gather on Farrand Field at CU Boulder to defy the authorities and smoke marijuana publicly. This year, the University of [Colorado -] Boulder Police Department fought back by taking pictures of as many participants as possible. They have a website with photos up, offering an $50 reward to anyone who positively identifies someone who was photographed. Nothing about what the authorities plan to do with the information is posted. Scary."
Three things. First, fuck the police. Second, I think this chick is the hottest of the students pictured. Third, there's no way cops could prove someone's smoking pot based on a photo. I often roll my own 100% tobacco cigarettes, and the end result looks just like what students in these photos were smomking.

What to do with these asshole cops? I suggest we tie up their phone lines. To do so, call (303) 492-8168. If you happen to get through, please don't threaten the cops. But do find a nice way to tell them to fuck off. Or, better yet, pick a name off the UC-Boulder police organizational chart and tell the person who answers the phone that you're pretty sure one of the people pictured is that person. (Don't go so far as to actually file a police report, though, since they'd probably try to chase you down for filing a falsie.)

Update: I note that Pete at Drug WarRant blogged on this on Saturday and included a photo of the same hot chick I noted above in this post. This is known in the scientific community as "inter-rater reliability", and it means that this chick has now been scientifically proven to be hot.
