Seeing is Believing

House Republicans approved a “vision statement” for their party this week that reads, "We will promote the dignity and future of every individual by building a free society under a limited, accountable government that protects our liberty, security and prosperity for a brighter American Dream.” Of course, a look at the legislative agenda coupling the vision statement finds that by promoting "the dignity and future of every individual" they mean passing a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage and by a limited government that "protects our liberty" they mean passing a constitutional amendment banning flag-burning. Uh, no thanks.
