No Stag Party for Me
There's no indication it's back for good -- or even at all -- but after an extended vacation, the word stagflation has been creeping back into the lexicon, making more frequent appearances in the business pages. Adding to the market's increasingly obvious lack of faith in Fed chairman Ben Bernanke, the million-strong USA Today graphics department is pumping out scary-looking graphics showing how much the Dow has lost in just the past month. (I've always thought one can take the pulse of the nation by paying attention to the relative cheer of our national paper's graphics.)
Still, I say there's little to fear. If your vision of the future is tomorrow, then be scared. If you take a longer view, I say hold on to what you've got.
