PBS Figures Swear Words Don't Apply To WWII
"The War", a soldier's-eye view of WWII, has been in the works for over six years.
PBS is self-censoring; not only will they bleep out the entirity of each swear word, but PBS will ALSO obscure the speaker's mouth. So all you lip readers out there, forget about getting your kicks on PBS. This discussion of WWII - by the soldiers themselves! - will be all kitties and sunshine. Maybe some rainbows. Who knows.
PBS is concerned about the F.C.C.'s guidelines, following a Cali station's $15k fine in March (currently being appealed.) Therefore, PBS will make sure to show the series after 10 PM. Everybody knows that's when the kiddies go to bed.
