At Crucial Stage in War on Terror, Congress Surrenders

Congress has quietly reversed course in the war on terror and allowed Congressional cafeterias to begin selling french fries again, instead of freedom fries; thus ending America's three-year campaign to get back at the French by changing our menus. (Side note: don't you miss those dumb folks who would buy French wine and pour it in the street to show their displeasure of France. God, they were dumb. Hello, you're supporting France economically by buying their wine. They don't care if you drink it, pour it out, or wash your ass with it.) Not missing a step, Democrats had this to say:

"Now that they've changed the name of the french fries back, maybe they will admit their other foreign policy mistakes were wrong, too," said Brendan Daly, a spokesman for Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, the House minority leader.
Zing! I think Pelosi would politicize Hastert taking a dump if she could.

And speaking of Hastert, he had this to say:
"Thank god this over," Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert said. "We haven't been able to french kiss our mistresses for three years. Why do you think the Republican party is in such disarray. We're ready to explode. I mean we've been french kissing our wives for Christ's sake. That's how bad it is over here."
