Cancer Kid Again
My cancer kid from a few weeks back has been graciously allowed to persue non-invasive treatment of his (and his parents') choice, says an Accomack County (VA) Circuit judge.
The problem at hand was (1) How much control does the government have over parenting? Will the government intervene only when parenting is damaging or neglectful? and (2) Is deciding you'd like your child to have hair and the ability to keep lunch down during his SECOND COURSE OF CANCER TREATMENT neglectful?
The fam will have to give the court updates (maybe they can start a blog!) every 3 months until the kid is 18. So, junior has a little less than 2 years left to explain his every medical decision to the government (and suffer under the name his parents gave him, Starchild Abraham).
