Dixie Chicks Cancel a Bunch of Concert Dates

I saw the DCX at the Verizon Center last Friday and they were totally awesome. But their fan base has changed since lead singer Natalie Maines somewhat dissed Bush.
Many country fans criticized the band after lead singer Natalie Maines told a London audience in 2003 on the eve of war in Iraq that the trio was "ashamed" President Bush was from their home state of Texas.
I could tell that their fan base had changed. I was in the sixth row and two obviously gay guys in front of me had T Shirts that they had created that said, "The Only Chicks in My Life."

The DCX have been pretty much banned from FM radio despite the fact that their recent album has sold more than a million copies. I am pro-corporation but the DCX radio ban makes me yearn for more independent radio.

And what I love about DCX is that they are all virtuoso musicians, great singers and cute to boot. These girls would make it in any bar I know.
