Labour: Is the Party Over?
For consistency's sake, it's nice to see that Britain's Labour Party is as good at wasting taxpayer monies as it is at wasting its own:
Official records released yesterday showed that Labour must find more than £4 million in the next 100 days to repay debts to former benefactors. Bank loans worth another £7.5 million are due to be repaid or renegotiated before the end of the year.As a Scotsman commenter notes,
Yesterday's figures confirmed that by the end of June, Labour had run up debts of £28 million, although a party spokesman last night said £6 million borrowed from banks had since been repaid.
Financially bankrupt, morally bankrupt, intellectually bankrupt.A wee bit more here.
Away wi' 'em.
