Treasurer Treasures Memories of When She Looked Good
US Treasurer Anna Escobedo Cabral, the chick who has toiled endlessly in a musty room signing every $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 since she was confirmed to the gig in 2004, was online in a White House chat yesterday.
She answered questions from "real" people about topics ranging from keeping "In God We Trust" on our money -- though it'll soon be on the edge of some coins, rather than the back -- to our prospects for getting rid of the dreaded penny.
I'd never seen her before, but I thought her White House photo made her seem like she had some potential in the looks department -- at least more so than, say, Elaine Chao.
So I did a Google image search. Yikes. That was a mistake.
Turns out her official government photo is -- how shall I say it? -- not recent. Here's Cabral in 2004 -- probably about the time her official goverment photo was taken. Not bad. But here's Cabral in 2005. Eek.
And I thought I'd let myself go...
