Buy One, Get One Free

Remember those limited-time offers where you could get a free DVD with the purchase of a DVD player? That's so two years ago.

This offer from the folks at Izzit.org, the new name for In the Classroom Media, which distributes John Stossel's videos, has turned the offer on its head.

So you drop about $30 on a DVD, pay $10 for shipping, and you get a free DVD player. This initially strikes me as an unprecedented reversal of the original terms of a buy X, get Y offer. Though I'm pretty sure it's not without precedent.

Anyone else know of an offer that went from "Buy X, get Y free" to "Buy Y, get X free" in the span of just a year or two?
