The Capitol police force was no match for a crazed man on crack who broke through a security barrier and entered the Capitol with a loaded gun. This guy was no terrorist, and probably had no idea where he was, but it does raise questions about the Capitol police.

But most notable to me was the disclosure that the Capitol police force employs 2,300 officers to guard one building and its environs. By comparison, the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department has 3,800 officers to protect the whole city.
