Maymin Muscles In

I've neglected to post for a few days, distracted as I have been by other projects, watching the carnival, and playing the most awesome game ever with my crack-shot four-year-old.

Phil Maymin, LibertarianTM for Congress, has scored entry to ten of the eleven debates to be held in October between Farrell and Shays. The only debate which denied him a podium? The one hosted by the AARP. "Well, we don't like to change," said my retiree dad. Yes, but they sure like to take my change.

Yesterday I received a lovely flier from the Diane Farrell campaign. A 6-inch by 4.25-inch, glossy full-color, four-panel fold-out depicting twisted steel in Iraq intercut with triptychs of Chris Shays, Bush, and choice quotes from the congressman (in Courier against the sandy background for that vintage feel). Very nice and very expensive.

Farrell, you poor, sad, stupid wretch. She lost last time with 48 percent of the vote; this year I wonder if she'll be lucky enough to reach that far. Can the robo-calls from Paul Newman be far behind?

Brian Doherty has been eyeballing the race down in Texas featuring LPer Bob Smither. Anyone know of any other races featuring "liberatine" candidates?
