New Jersey to White House: Don't Tell Us Not to Fornicate

New Jersey has become the fourth state to reject federal abstinence education money because accepting it would require the state to ban teachers from talking about contraception and force them to tell teens that sex within marriage is the "expected standard of human sexual activity."
[New Jersey Health Commissioner Fred Jacobs] said new guidelines require the organizations to follow all sections, including one that teaches that monogamous in marriage is the only expected standard and that sex outside of marriage is likely to have harmful psychological and physical effects.

"Monogamy is not a bad idea, but having the government of New Jersey dictate these things for families is not something we wish to do," Jacobs said. "It isn't the function of state government to create standards (for sexual activity)."
I couldn't disagree more. Monogamy is totally a bad idea.

Speaking of bad ideas, New Jersey, and harmful psychological effects, Habitat for Humanity has officially named Jon Bon Jovi its ambassador. Yikes. I could be wrong, but I think TtP reader Apple lost his virginity to a Bon Jovi album. And I'm not talking about having sex with his girlfriend while he listend to Bon Jovi. He really loved Slippery When Wet. I think he and that album eloped. And this was before activist judges in Massachusetts allowed people to marry their favorite record albums. If you could marry a record album, what would it be? I think I would marry "Led Zeppelin 1". Or 50 Cent's "Get Rich or Die Tryin'". Both if it was in Utah.
