Republicans stuck a provision in last year's defense spending bill authorizing $20 million this year for a victory celebration if we won Iraq. Ooops. Now they rolled the money over to next year.
“If the Bush administration had spent more time planning for the postwar occupation of Iraq, and less time planning ‘mission accomplished’ victory celebrations, America would be closer to finishing the job in Iraq,” said Rebecca M.
