I'm Still Trying to Quit the Gym

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said in a published report that he wishes he could leave office before his four-year term is up and would not run again.

"I didn't want to take this position," al-Maliki told the Wall Street Journal in an interview published Tuesday. "I only agreed because I thought it would serve the national interest, and I will not accept it again."

more here.

Speaking of quitting, Tara Reid should lay off the crack. Watch Pedro, of Vote for Pedro fame, achieve enlightenment as Tara Reid screws up his massive New Year Eve's party by 1) counting down to the new year beginning with 60; and b) not being able to count backwards. I can't believe I wrote in Pedro for President in 2004. I was hoping for someone who could appoint competent people to run federal agencies. But picking Tara Reid to manage the countdown to the new year is something Bush would do. Only instead of Tara Reid it would be Dick Cheney. And instead of opening Champaign he would shoot his friends in the face.
