Mitt Disappoints

Having known Mitt Romney in the Boston investment community I had high hopes for his political career. He is a guy who understands business, is incredibly smart, has excelled in his career and who, like no other presidential candidate, could make the machine of government work more efficiently and effectively.

But Romney has secured my non-vote by pandering to the Evangelical wing of the Republican party. Here is what he said on announcing his bid.
"I believe in God and I believe that every person in this great country, and every person on this grand planet, is a child of God. We are all sisters and brothers.

"I believe the family is the foundation of America – and that we must fight to protect and strengthen it."I believe in God and I believe that every person in this great country, and every person on this grand planet, is a child of God. We are all sisters and brothers.

"I believe the family is the foundation of America – and that we must fight to protect and strengthen it.

"I believe in the sanctity of human life.
Are we living in a theocrasy, in which presidential candidates need to prove their religious creds? Holy shit, please tell me this is not true.
