Global Warming Roasts DC

I know that a lot of libertarians contest the idea of global warming. But as a real person living in DC this year is off the charts in terms of heat and humidity torture.

It is October 9th today, and the temperature reached 94 degrees today and the humidity was off the charts. And it wasn't a fluke day, as the temps have been at or above 90 for the past ten days.

When I moved to DC, in 1998, the common wisdom was that the worst of summer was done by late August, when the humidity decreased and the temps lowered. About five years ago that milestone moved to September. I remember on 9/11 everyone noting how it was a warm day, about 80 degrees.

And now we have humid hot weather torture into mid-October and a drought to boot.
