Design Bleg
We're in the early stages of a site redesign for To the People. Early stages, because it turns out this cost money. A lot of money. I'm insisting that everything on the blog be plated with gold. Sounds expensive, I know. Perhaps even impossible. But I refuse to do it any other way.
So to save money on the enterprise I've tried the illegal, south-of-the-border route. No luck. Turns out that none of the Latinos hanging out in the Home Depot parking lot are web designers. I know, blew my mind too. Although I did get a hell of a deal on some landscaping for my house, and a great deal on some Mexican produced meth. Good stuff...So in lieu of cheap immigrant labor, I've been forced to contract it out to an American web designer and give her a deadline of.....Whenever she gets to it. That's how you run a blog ladies and gentlemen.
My question to the readers: Any recommendations? How about the archives? Bring them back? I've thought about blowing up the current RSS feed, so that I could implement a new one to get a more accurate count of subscribers. Are you feed users too lazy to subscribe again, if I replaced the current one? What else might make visiting our site a little less painful?
Email us at tothepeople_at_gmail dot com, or just leave a comment. Suggestions for new bloggers will be discarded, unless it's an offer to replace one of them.
Thanks.
Added: Not sure what's going on with the comments section today, same thing happened a few weeks ago. The count below the post is often wrong, and comments are disappearing, only to reappear minutes later. Rest assured, no one here is fucking with the comments; my best guess is that it is blogger's fault. But I'll go ahead and take "fixing the comments" as a recommendation.
