Quote of the Night

From an Ethiopian cab driver, "Where has the freedom gone?" We were discussing the smoking ban in Maryland (no I don't mean to suggest that Ethiopians living in Ethiopia have more freedom than us in the states) and various other things. Needless to say, I don't like this observation from people who have been in our country for five years. Bad sign.
