Give Us Your Money. Now.

I happen to be home early and have the auto-bailout-clusterfuck of a Senate hearing on TV right now. I would live-blog this thing; but I don't think I have enough booze in my house to make it through the whole thing. I will make a few points:

1) I always forget how ugly Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow is...until I see her. Yuck. Someone should bailout her husband. Oh, wait...I forgot that he already bailed himself out.

2) The automakers really seem to have fucked-up business models. If I had known it was going to be my responsibility to prop them up; I would have paid more attention in business classes in school. Or actually taken business classes instead of wasting all that time getting that New Testament Textual Criticism minor. The Bible never needs a bailout.

3) The GM head loser says that the image of GM as a stupidly run company that is quickly headed to oblivion is wrong. They are actually making a lot of progress, so much progress that they need ask for tens of billions of dollars. He also added that they are building cars that people want. He slyly left out "buy", cars that people want to "buy".
